Eliza’s performance days began early with elaborate variety shows she’d put on in her living room as a small child. When she outgrew her own house, she went on to organized performing opportunities like dance class and school choir. In high school, Eliza had a ball in the school’s top vocal ensemble and on the stage in leading and supporting roles in musicals. She then broadened her music knowhow with some challenging coursework in college, and again in grad school. Second only to her family and friends, music is the focal point of Eliza’s life today: She is a public school music teacher, performs in community musical theatre, writes her own songs, plays piano and guitar, and – most recently – tap dances. Afro Blue is one the highlights of her life, and she adores singing with them both on and off the “Sing-Off” stage.
